The Carbon Fiber Material Family Expands: Introducing PETG-CF!
Carbon fiber, a common reinforcing fiber, is known for its excellent properties, including high stiffness, high strength, lightweight, high chemical resistance, and high-temperature resistance. To date, eSUN has introduced a variety of carbon fiber-reinforced materials, including PLA-CF, ABS-CF, PETG-CF, PA-CF, PA12-CF, and PA12+CF.
Today’s Highlight: PETG-CF.
PETG and Carbon fiber
eSUN’s PETG-CF material is reinforced with carbon fibers to significantly enhance strength, rigidity, and hardness while reducing warping. It is widely applicable in tooling fixtures, prototyping, electronics, and automotive part manufacturing.
Carbon Fiber PETG
Specifically, this PETG-CF material has the following characteristics:

PETG rigidity and strength
Compared to standard PETG, PETG-CF shows significantly improved rigidity and strength. Testing results reveal that PETG-CF has a flexural modulus of 2500 MPa—an increase of 203%—and a flexural strength improvement of 190%.
PETG-CF offers excellent printability, reducing issues like stringing, oozing, and nozzle clogging during printing, with minimal warping.
PETG-CF Better Chemical Resistance
PETG inherently possesses certain waterproof and chemical-resistant properties. With the addition of carbon fibers, its performance stability is further enhanced, providing some resistance to corrosive substances.

Unlike traditional black carbon fiber materials, PETG-CF offers a richer color palette, including DARK GREY, ANTIQUE BRASS, BLACK RED, DARK GREEN, and DARK BLUE. Its carbon fiber composition gives printed models a matte, frosted finish—perfect for users seeking a premium aesthetic.

Usage Recommendations and Precautions: Carbon fiber materials tend to cause greater wear on printer nozzles. When printing with carbon fiber materials, it is recommended to use a hardened steel nozzle. Additionally, the material is sensitive to moisture. It is advised to dry the filament before printing at a temperature of 65°C for at least 8 hours.
The following parameters were derived from extensive testing by eSUN and are provided for your reference. If you encounter any issues during printing, feel free to contact us.
